Precautions

For external use only. Do not use on kittens under 8 weeks of age or weighing less than 1.5 lbs. Sensitivities may occur after using ANY pesticide product for cats. If signs of sensitivity occur, bathe your cat with mild soap and rinse with large amounts of water. If signs continue, consult a veterinarian immediately. Cats may experience some temporary irritation at the site of product application. Consult a veterinarian before using this product on debilitated, aged, medicated, pregnant, lactating, or nursing cats. If your cat is exhibiting signs of and/or is being treated for skin dermatitis, talk to your veterinarian before applying any topical flea and tick control product.

Important Information

Fleas rise to the top of your pet's coat as they die, so consider it a triumph if you start seeing more fleas at first, after treating your pet. If you're still seeing fleas after application, it may be because your pet has picked up new fleas from the environment, which may include other pets, surfaces and outdoor areas. It may take up to 30 days to break the entire flea life cycle. Additionally, you should also treat sources of new fleas (i.e., carpet, yard, etc.) to ensure complete flea control.

Recommended Dosage

1 applicator

Remove one applicator tube from the package and hold in an upright position pointed away from your face.
Twist dispensing tip clockwise about 1/2 turn while pushing down to break the tube's seal. Do not remove the dispensing tip. Position the dispending tip on the cat's back between the shoulder blades.
Use the dispensing tip of the tube to part the cat's hair so that the product will be applied at skin level. *Begin squeezing out the contents of the tube to form a stripe as you move from the shoulder blades along the cat's back to the base of the tail.
Repeat every month.

You are likely seeing new fleas on your pet, which are jumping on your pet as it moves through infested areas in and around your home. Depending on the severity of the existing infestation, you may continue to see new fleas jumping on your pet for three months or more.

One cat still has flees

This is very frustrating. I have had this product work on my 3 smaller cats but not on my bigger one. Now I have to wait 3 weeks before I can give a new flee topical and fight flees all the time for the next 3 weeks. I'm on the fence about this product. He isn't that big of a cat but larger than the other 3. It seems like we'll be using something else just to be safe.

We live up north in Michigan and are surrounded by woods the furbabies got a couple of ticks and since the application no more ticks also have not seen any fleas so it's a win win as far as I'm concerned.

the month before I used the Frontline over the counter I had used the Rx Revolution. at first it seemed to be working but after a few days it had quit working and my cats were scabby and miserable. Afraid of hurting them by using more protection too soon, I waited the 30 days before using Frontline on them. Frontline worked GREAT! my cats starting playing again and scabs have disappeared. I learned my lesson at my poor cats expense.....from now on FRONTLINE is all I will use for my babies.

Still not sure about how effective this is. Fleas and tics have been terrible this year. Recently (only 1 dose so far) switched to this from another Fronline product. We shall see if this works better

Product isnt working! Started using about 4 months ago and still have fleas on my cat that is an indoor cat. Thought if i continued to use monthly that the fleas would decrease. Not happening! Trying a different product.

Don't buy it! Frontline Gold is useless on ticks. Just removed 8 ticks from my cat. My question is: Why is this junk still being sold if it doesn't work? Should have been taken off store shelves and recalled.

My cats scratched more after I put this on them than before. It's been 10 days still scratching. Fleas marginally better but expected to be gone. Maybe a bad batch? I see others around this time w poor reviews.

I found a stray cat recently and noticed immediately he had fleas and used this on him. The next day I took him to the vet to get checked out and she was surprised at how fast it worked to the point where she asked what I used because all the fleas on him were nearly dead. Needless to say, I will be using this from now on.
